Luke Jones Furniture- whole house interior photography and video clip

Having worked with the company in the past, it was a great pleasure to team up once again with Lucy, the owner of Luke James Furniture. Their latest project was an entire modern house – named Grey Sails – that the company furnished throughout. My role this time was to show their bespoke furniture in the natural house environment.

Each time they surprise my with perfection , variety of pieces and ability to much style or wood colour of existing furniture.

Most of the work I do for them is called location product photography. The main challenge is to set up a lighting around furniture , block any harsh sun light and find a place for a tripod- yes this is very tricky as sometimes there is no space for placing a camera in a small room. Quite often ambient light is colder then artificial lighting causing a blue or yellow cast. I have to blend few layers exposed for a different colour temperature or if possible I only fill in flash.

As a product photographers I think that studio environment would be more suitable for light controlling and true colours of the photographed products , but showing them where they are gives potential clients a better perspective and allow them to appreciate a craftsmanship.

Below I am sending few examples of my recent interior/product photography for them.
